The Biker Mice From Mars, a childhood classic of mine (on a par with Sharky and George), returned to children’s early-morning television screens across the globe in 2006 after over ten years of absence. With a rockier soundtrack and with updated graphics and visual effects, the third season of these new episodes will start later on this year and the previous season (which I edited) went on to win a Daytime Emmy Award in 2009.
When the Biker Mice first came back to the UK, I was working for Catalyst Pictures and became responsible for editing the American master tapes in preparation for airing on UK and European television (in Avid), as well as aiding in ensuring that the new tapes were ready and distributed to the broadcasting television studios on time.
I also developed their new website (bikermice.tv) in seven languages but it has sadly been significantly modified since it’s launch, so I cannot claim too much credit for the website in it’s current state.
Below are a few frames and a short clip (from YouTube) from the new show.
